I grew up in and out of foster care in Texas. I was raised by rural conservative Christians through my most formative years. This allowed me to enjoy working hard and making my boss proud back when I worked normal jobs. However, after a few years working in the timeshare industry and losing some naivety I took to volunteering at NPOs and living off of art and performing. I left San Antonio in 2012 due to how harsh the police were about street performing. I didn’t know that actually…most cities are pretty hard on it. Finally in 2019 I got brave enough to start standing up for my work. I have since been locked up 3 times and have received several tickets. The charges are always dismissed. In October of 2025 I shattered my big toe and fractured another toe. As of mid January 2026 I’m still recovering and have medical debt. I’m hoping concentrating more and more of my experience onto this page to compliment my map/timeline can help draw attention to the issues I’m dealing with as San Antonio now claims sidewalk chalk is illegal.
